The Serum Sold as Filler in a Bottle
Allure examines Volufiline, a plant-derived ingredient blend marketed as adding volume to hollow areas from a bottle, and asks the experts whether it delivers. The claim runs into the same wall every topical volume claim does: the molecules are large, the barrier is designed to exclude them, and volume lives several millimeters below where a cream can reach. Some ingredients in this class do produce a mild local swelling that reads as fullness for a while, which is a real effect and a different one from what is being sold.
